Suspect entered grocery store armed with a handgun and demanded money. The employee produced a handgun and fired twice. The suspect fled the store uninjured and without the money

Feb.28 (York Co) SENTENCING: ARMED HOME INVASION

Defendant plead guilty in January to aggravated assault, robbery and buglary after he and three others other broke into a home on Browntown Rd on October 23, 2012 around 12:40 am all armed with guns. A struggle ensued resulting in one of the victims shooting and killing one of the suspects. Another suspect was shot as well.

Feb.27 (York Co) 16:00 ARREST: TERRORISTIC THREATS - SCHOOL

The father of a student at Phineas Good School made death threats to people at the school on Wednesday, February 26. The school was placed on lock-down Wednesday morning and the suspect was escorted off school grounds by police.
The suspect returned to the school on Thursday at approximately 16:00 attempting to force his way into an area of the school that was secured.
Reports of shots being fired were inaccurate.

Feb.27 (Lancaster) 13:18 ARREST: ARMED HOME INVASION / ARSON

Suspect entered the residence, not once, but twice. Upon response by police the second time the suspect was observed to be in possession of a firearm. Police established a perimeter. Smoke was observed coming from the residence and the suspect was observed leaving the building and was taken into custody. The Fire Department was called to the scene and extinguished the fire. The firearm was found inside the residence.

Feb.27 (Centre Co) VERDICT - GUILTY: ASSAULT / UNLAWFUL RESTRAINT

Defendant was found guilty of attacks on two women. Police responding to the area setup a perimeter. The defendant then attempted to flee the area on foot but was tackled by a civilian.

Upon arrival of police at a domestic dispute call, a woman was seen running from the home and the suspect inside warning police not to enter the residence. A perimeter was established and the Allegheny SWAT Team was activated. The man was arrested without further incident after police negotiated his surrender.

Suspect entered the business simulating a weapon in his pocket and told the employee he was armed with a gun. The employee and suspect became involved in a physical altercation that ended with the suspect making his way behind the counter and taking money from the cash register.

Feb.25 (Northampton Co) ARREST: AGGRAVATED ASSAULT / TERRORISTIC THREATS

742 W. Berwick St, Easton PA
On Saturday, February 22 the suspect verbally assaulted the victim then went to his vehicle and retrieved a shotgun. The suspect struck the victim with the weapon and the two then engaged in a physical altercation over the weapon. At one point the weapon was dropped and the suspect fled the scene.
On Tuesday, February 25, the suspect surrendered to police and placed in Northampton County jail.

Defendant molested a 12 year-old boy while attending summer camp in Smithfield Township, Monroe Co in July 2013. He was sentenced to 23 months and classified as a Tier 1 sex offender.

Pa State Police initiated a vehicle pursuit after observing the suspect traveling approximately 85 mph in a 55 mph zone. Police on scene of a double homicide after receiving a call to check on them after one woman failed to show up for work. The two women found in the residence were sisters. Police reported there were no signs of forced entry. A car owned by one of the women was determined to be missing but found a short distance from the home.

Man robs Bethlehem woman after she finds him inside her home, police report

Police say the intruder told the woman he wanted to see if she needed help shoveling snow, but then demanded money from her once he realized she was alone.

Cheltenham Assault … Harold Bivins, 49, of the 1300 block of Greeby Street, Philadelphia, was charged with simple assault Jan. 20 following a domestic incident at the Towers at Wyncote, 8470 Limekiln Pike, police said. Bivins allegedly was intoxicated and went to the apartment of his ex-girlfriend around 5 a.m. and physically assaulted her, police said.

Rockledge police briefs: Week of February 2

Rockledge DUI … Daniel W. Gorham, 26, of the 1500 block of Willow Avenue, Willow Grove, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence Jan. 22 after police observed a Jeep Grand Cherokee traveling on Huntingdon Pike without the headlights illuminating at 1:09 a.m., police said. Police also observed the vehicle almost strike a median in the roadway, police said. The vehicle was stopped, and police detected an odor of alcohol coming from Gorham’s person, police said. He failed field tests and was transported to Holy Redeemer Hospital for blood tests, police said.
