Dear Nixle User,

On Saturday, June 25th, 2016 at about 4:00pm, Richard E. As Fissel traveled through the intersection he was broad-sided by Samuel Hoke of Hanover, PA who was traveling west bound on Salem Road. Fissel died several days later from a combination of the medical event and his injures from the crash. Fissel, his passenger and Hoke were all transported to area hospitals following the crash.

Advisory: Twp 4th of July Parade will close roads on Monday between 8:00 and 11:00 am Veterans, Trenton, Woodbourne Rds.

Dear Nixle User,

The Middletown Township Fourth of July parade will be held on Monday, July 4th starting at 9:00. Due to setting up for the parade Veterans Highway (Rt. 413) will be closed around 7:30 am between E. Lincoln Highway (Business Rt. 1) and Trenton Road. The parade will begin around 9:00 am traveling south on Veterans Highway to Trenton Road. It will make a left onto Trenton Road to travel east ending at the Middletown Athletic Association complex by Woodbourne Road. This will facilitate closing Trenton Road between Durham and Bristol-Oxford Valley Roads. All roads intersecting Trenton Road in that area will be closed to vehicular traffic. Woodbourne Road will also be closed at Bristol-Oxford Valley as the parade crosses the intersection of Trenton and Woodbourne Roads. All of the affected roads should be reopened by around 11:00 am.

Alternate routes to avoid the closed roads are Durham Road to E. Lincoln Highway and Oxford Valley Road to E. Lincoln Highway.

There are also temporary parking restrictions in place prior to and during the parade. Please obey any posted signs to avoid having your vehicle ticketed and possibly towed. These restricted areas are set up to ensure that emergency vehicles can get into the Levittown sections if necessary.

Thank you for your cooperation and enjoy your holiday.
