Montgomery County Correctional Facility escapee sentenced to state jail time

COURTHOUSE >> The man who escaped from the Montgomery County Correctional Facility on Labor Day this year pleaded guilty in court on Tuesday and was sentenced to state prison.

Raehib Hankerson, 23, of Philadelphia, pleaded guilty to one count of escape and was sentenced to two to five years in prison, according to online court records.

Montgomery County Sheriff's Department arrests 12 men in 'dead-beat dad' raid

COURTHOUSE >> Montgomery County Sheriff's deputies raided several homes in Pottstown, Norristown and Abington early Wednesday morning in search of parents who owe money for their children.

"At 1 a.m. this morning 15 deputies went out across the county concentrating on areas of Pottstown, Norristown and Abington looking for dead-beat dads -- individuals who owe money for children that they are responsible for but have shirked those responsibilities," Sheriff Russell Bono said at a news briefing Wednesday morning.

Lower Providence police investigating residential burglaries, theft from vehicles

LOWER PROVIDENCE >> During the overnight hours on Thursday, Nov. 13 and Friday, Nov. 14, between 11:20 p.m. and 6 a.m., unknown offender(s) entered numerous unlocked, occupied residences and unlocked vehicles in the Coldspring neighborhood, Collegeville section of Lower Providence Township.

Entries were made through unlocked doors or windows, with porch screen doors/windows being cut in some instances to gain access to unlocked doors/windows.

Police apprehend juveniles after vehicle chase in Erie, Millcreek

Erie police took two girls into custody late Tuesday night after they led officers on a vehicle chase through parts of Millcreek Township and Erie, authorities said.

Suspect in three robberies at same Hatboro bank arrested

NORRISTOWN >> The Montgomery County District Attorney's office announced the arrest of a Horsham man on Tuesday suspected of robbing the same Hatboro TD Bank three times over the past year and a half.

"We are here today to announce the arrest of Clark Leary for three bank robberies that occurred in Hatboro, Montgomery County, over the course of almost two years," District Attorney Risa Ferman said at a news conference Tuesday afternoon.

Fatal Edinboro Shooting Leaves Campus on Lockdown (11:30pm update)

A Monday shooting in Edinboro leaves one male in his 20s, dead, and the suspect at large.The incident happened just after 6pm in the parking lot of an apartment complex at 123 Water Street. More than six hours after the shooting, local police are still hunting for the suspect.

NOV.16 (Manor, Lancaster Co) 21:55 ARMED ROBBERY

2200 block of COLUMBIA AVE / WENDY'S RESTAURANT
Report of two suspects wearing masks and armed with guns entered the business and ordered customers to the ground. A handgun and cell phone believed to belong to the suspects were recovered by police. It is unknown as to why the suspects fled, what they obtained or if there were any injuries.

NOV.14 (Dewart, Northumberland Co) 16:50 ARMED ROBBERY - BANK

RT 44
Suspect entered the bank and displayed a handgun during the commission of a bank robbery. Suspect Fled the scene in a white sedan in an unknown direction of travel.

NOV.14 (West Scranton, Luzerne Co) 14:00 ARMED SUBJECT - SUICIDAL / BARRICADED

100 block of N. Main St.
Suicidal subject reported to be armed with a rifle threatened to take his own life during a telephone call with family members. Subject also threatened to shoot police if they interfered with his plan.
Police established a permiter around the address and were eventually able to persuade the individual to surrender without further incident.

NOV.14 (Dallastown, York Co) 01:38 ARMED ROBBERY

W. Main St / Turkey Hill
Two suspects entered the business, one armed with a weapon described as a bat or club and demanded money. Both suspects appear to have been in their 20's and were wearing bandanas overy their faces.

Ambulance 329-8 transported one patient to Reading Hospital

NOV.8 (Norristown, Montgomery Co) 19:11 SHOOTING

SWEDE ST / E ELM ST
PennSTAR helicopter dispatched to transport shooting victim at 19:24. 19 year-old victim transported to helicopter landing zone located at Norristown State Hospital at 19:32
Breaking News Network reported there were a total of two victims.
Montgomery County DPS public-access CAD shows two ambulances dispatched to the scene (308-18 and 308-63)
PennSTAR1 in-flight report to hospital stated victim has up to seven gunshot wounds.

NOV.6 (Munhall, Allegheny Co) 02:00 ARMED HOME INVASION / POLICE PURSUIT / ARREST

11TH AVE
Three suspects, one of which was armed with a gun broke into a home and took the victims car keys. The suspects were placed after police observed the victim's vehicle and pursued the suspects through several neighborhoods. Two of the three suspects were apprehended. One still remains at large.

NOV.4 (West Caln, Chester Co) HOMICIDE / CHILD ABUSE RESULTING IN DEATH / ARREST (NOV.6)

EMS responded to residence on November 4 for a report of an unresponsive child at which time they observed extensive wounds on the three year-old victim.

NOV.3 (Pittsburgh, Allegheny Co) ARMED HOME INVASION / SWAT ACTIVATION

1200 block of Monterey St
Three suspects (two adult males and a juvenile) attempted an armed home invasion. The homeowner refused to open the door and the suspects were unable to gain entry, all of which was caught on surveillance camera
Two of the suspects were apprehended but the third suspect prompted a SWAT activation in the 1300 block of Sherman Ave. A sweep of the residence at that location resulted in police obtaining the weapon used in the crime.

Suspect entered the drub store and demanded drugs at gunpoint.
Suspect is described at a white male, 6'4" in height wearing camouflage pants, green sweatshirt and black baseball cap with unspecified white lettering. A gray scarf covered his face.

NOV.3 (Radnor, Delaware Co) ARREST: TERRORISTIC THREATS - SCHOOL

A Delaware County teenager was arrested after it was discovered she was planning a school shooting. The teenager has confessed to the plan in which she stated it would distinguish her as the first female school shooter.
