Advisory: Due to localized heavy rains underpasses on Wood Street and Union Street are closed.

Dear Nixle User,

Due to localized heavy rains the borough is experiencing flash flooding at the under passes on Wood Street and Union Street.  Wood Street is closed from Emaus to Wilson and Union Street is closed from Mill Street to Ann Street.  Our public works department is working on removing the debris from these areas.  Please find an alternate route.

Community: *** Fatal Traffic Crash ***

Dear Nixle User,

On Monday, June 27, 2016 at approximately 11:35 PM a two vehicle traffic crash occurred on Frosty Hollow Road at Upper Orchard Drive.
Investigation found that a red Acura Integra, operated by Samuel Dick of Levittown, was traveling east bound on Frosty Hollow Road approaching the south entrance to Upper Orchard Drive when it entered into the west bound lane of Frosty Hollow Road when it struck a gray Cadillac Eldorado, operated by William Hogan, which was traveling west bound on Frosty Hollow Road. Dick was transported to St Mary Medical Center by the Penndel-Middletown Emergency Squad. Hogan sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Toxicology results are pending.
The crash is still under investigation.
Middletown Township Police are requesting assistance in locating anyone who may have witnessed the crash are asked to contact Ofc Brian Agostino or Ofc Mike Stum at 215- 750-3845.
