Advisory: The next several days are expected to be warm and humid, with heat indices near the 100

Dear Nixle User,

The next several days are expected to be warm and humid, with heat indices near the 100 mark. Take this time to provide outreach to your citizens, especially vulnerable populations, to make them aware of the signs of heat injury and the steps to take to prepare for extreme heat. Information can be found at https://www.ready.gov/heat. Review the necessary local plans for sheltering and cooling stations. Contact local senior centers, churches and other facilities that may be used as cooling centers.
