CBS Philly reported that the incident began on Providence Rd / Smedly Park. An officer was struck by a vehicle during an undercover narcotics operation.
PaCrimeWatch monitored police radio traffic that reported the injured officer was an ATF officer. Officers fired into the suspect vehicle as it left the scene
Primary Suspect is described as:
Black male with beard, height: 6'3-6'6 weight: 300lbs clothing: blue and gray hoodie, black pants
one other actor detained, light-skinned with goatee
Breaking News Network reports that the foot pursuit is a result of a vehicle bail-out after an officer was struck by a vehicle.
PaCrimeWatch monitored police radio traffic that reported K9 Officers are currently tracking (location witheld for safety of officers). Pendle Hill, on Plush Mill Rd was instructed to shelter in place
Multiple helicopters are in the area, some of which are news helicopters. Delaware Police radio is distributing the suspect description to the helicopters in the area. Channel 3 and Channel 10 has acknowledged this information
Police are requesting the news helicopters to "back-off" from the scene
Police are beginning to develop information on the vehicle used as a possible rental car
At 18:26 police transported one suspect from the rear of The Raven in Delaware County to the county courthouse
