Advisory: SCAM ALERT

Dear Nixle User,

A caller with an Indian accent calling from (202) 478-7832 in Washington, DC is claiming that he has a US grant for about $11,500 for you because you don't have a criminal record, paid taxes on time, and/or haven't declared bankruptcy and it is a reward for being a good citizen. The person says he needs your bank account or credit card account info to send you the money. THIS IS A SCAM!!!! To receive grant money you must apply for it and you will receive a check, they do not ask for account information such as routing number or account numbers.

If it sounds too good to be true it probably is. Any questions please contact our department.
